I made that

It has been so rewarding seeing my baby girl in some of the things I sewed for her before she was born.  Most of it still doesn't fit, but these two rompers are the perfect fit and they are my favorite pieces in her wardrobe.  I cannot wait to sew more.  Next up will be some cozy sweats for winter and also some pj pants for the boys.  Oh yeah, and I also helped make the sweet baby girl wearing the clothes too.  She and her two big brothers are by far my greatest and most beautiful creations.  Love them all so much.  Even though one or more of them is driving me nearly mad at most points in the day.  Still trying to crack the code for how one mommy is supposed to meet the needs and attentions of three kids.  We will get there.  I think!
This material is the softest and coziest.  Need to get my hands on more in different colors.
Close up of the head wrap.  Her bow is almost as big as her head.  : )
She is the pineapple of my eye.
Love the little bum.  And check out her super long feet.  I think my girl is going to be tall.

I have a Kindergartner

Today was the big day.  Ben started Kindergarten.  I have so many thoughts swirling around in my head and I am a mess of emotions (may have to do with the fact that I also have a 12-day-old baby).  But for now I'm just going to say that he loved it.  He thought that it was a little long.  He was worn out and told me he was going to take a nap with me (he didn't).  He didn't make any friends but played with a lot of kids.  His teacher is "too nice."  Guess he's just used to his cranky pregnant/postpartum mom.  And he is in the green group, which will be easy for him to remember considering our last name and all.  One more thing I don't want to forget about today.  When we got back into the car I heard Jackson turn to his brother's empty spot in the car and quietly say, "I'm gonna miss you bruda (brother)."  Almost lost it right then and there.  Somehow I held it together all day though.  So excited and nervous to be on this new adventure with Ben.

Elle's Newborn Photo Session

I asked my super sweet and amazingly talented friend Ashley if she would take photos of Elle and I could not be more thrilled with how they turned out.  Elle was a doll and slept the entire time.  I cannot wait to get three canvases printed with each of my baby's newborn photos and finally display them in my house.  I have the perfect wall in my bedroom and I cannot wait to walk by my babies every day and smile.  I just love these three angels of mine and feel so blessed to be their momma.

Wrapped around her little fingers

I think it is safe to say that the boys are all pretty smitten!  Me too of course.

Introducing Elle Harper

I finally feel like I'm back in the land of the living.  I'm going to save the big birth story for another day, I'll need a lot more energy and time before I can relive that.  Baby came out perfect but it was a bit traumatic for me.  Needless to say none of our family members were present at the birth because of its sudden speediness and no photos or videos captured the special moment.  I don't think James nor I will ever forget it though.  The drama or the beautiful result of our first baby girl, Elle Harper.  Born at 9:01 am on Friday, August 15th.  The family rushed to our sides following the birth and my brother-in-law Andrew was able to capture some priceless mother-daughter moments (I can't believe I get mother-daughter moments now), our new party of five, and photos with all the aunties, uncles, grandpas, grandmas, and one great-grandma.  So blessed to have so much love and support, just sorry you all missed it.  My girl couldn't wait another moment to greet us.  We are so in love!
